The Ethical Society of Austin is:

a humanistic religious organization dedicated to personal ethics and reason,

committed to the idea that each individual has inherent worth and dignity

and inspired by the ideal that the supreme aim of human life is working to create a more humane society.

On Sunday, June 15 we'll have a Colloquy on "Action" hosted by ESA member Adam Gravois

Note: Karen Mustard will be hosting a book club at the Loves' on June 18 about the book that was presented at our latest meeting, "God is the Good We Do" by Michael Benedikt. Contact her, or Janet Love for details.

To find our meeting space at AMOA Laguna Gloria, go west on 35th street and bear left, proceeding southwest along the northern border of Mayfield Park, to where the road ends. The entrance to Laguna Gloria will be on your left. Go through the gates, and our building is on your right. See the Contact ESoA page for a map.

Coffee and pastries are served at 10:00 a.m.

The meeting starts at 10:30 a.m.

After the meeting there is a social hour. This is a time for visitors, friends, and members of ethical culture to get to know each other better. We clump together into smaller groups where we continue to discuss the day's program, catch up with each other's lives, or simply engage in pleasant conversation over a potluck lunch. People are encouraged to bring something for the group to eat or drink, though this is certainly not required. We would gladly share our food if you were willing to share your time with us.

First time visitors need not contribute food in order to enjoy our potluck. You are invited to be our guest!

ESoA is an affiliate of the American Ethical Union (AEU), the national federation of Ethical Societies. Ethical Societies fundamentally believe in the moral and spiritual value of raising the quality of human relationships. Ethical Societies leave questions of the origin and destiny of the universe for individual exploration. In short, we place deed above creed. Have a look at the Top Ten Reasons Ethical Culture Might be Right for You.

ESoA is a member organization of Austin Area Interreligious Ministries (AAIM).

We have various other active affiliations. Please see the Links page for more information.
